Ingredients

  1. 5-6 chicken drums, the little ones
  2. 1 cup bisquick, this is a GMO product BTW
  3. 1/4 cup melted butter
  4. 1 egg, beaten
  5. to taste hot sauce
  6. to taste powdered ginger,
  7. 1 1/4 cup buttermilk
  8. Steps
  9. 1. I marinated mine overnight in buttermilk but that's optional
  10. 2. Make a well in the middle of the bisquick and then add in your cooled melted butter and egg and ginger and hot sauce. Add the buttermilk until you get a batter like consistency.

  12. 3. Put some foil in the bottom of your fryer and preheat to 350 *F. I set mine for 10 minutes.

  14. 4. Put somie of the drums in the fryer and leave enough room for the air to move around. Set for 350 *F for 10 minutes and when done flip them over. The bottoms will be 'clean' so put some more batter on them and set for 350 *F for 6 minutes this time.
  15. 5. Repeat until you've cooked all of them. If you have to do multiple batches then hold in a 350 *F warming oven.
